Information we receive

When you contact us, you provide your name, company, work email, enquiry type and message, and optionally a phone number. Correspondence may also include product, order or delivery requirements. Please only share information relevant to the enquiry.

Our hosting provider may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, requested pages and request times to deliver and protect the website and filter spam.

Why we use it

We use business contact information to answer enquiries, assess purchasing or supply opportunities, discuss terms and maintain relevant correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with business contacts and managing supplier and buyer relationships.

Where you are personally a party to a proposed or existing contract, we may also process information to take steps you request before entering that contract or to fulfil it. Overseas processing must be covered by applicable UK data-protection safeguards, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards. You can ask us for details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

We determine retention by whether an enquiry remains open, whether it leads to an active business relationship, and whether the correspondence is needed to document agreed terms, meet record-keeping duties or address a dispute. Enquiry information that is no longer needed for those purposes is deleted. Order and accounting records may need to be retained for longer than an unsuccessful enquiry. Your rights

Trade enquiries are reviewed by people. We do not make decisions about trade approval solely through automated processing.
